| In 41 hours... I'll be on a plane to China. AAAAAAAAAAH! See you in late July... or 2009. I'm not sure which one will come first due to my amazing posting abilities. | | |
| So today my grandfather passed away only 44 days after my grandmother passed away. What a month. I'm happy to know that they're both in a place better than I can imagine, but the earthly side of me is still stunned at the moment. I can't imagine what my dad and his siblings are feeling like right now. What a story, though, on how two people can become so dependent on each other through the years even if it didn't seem evident on the surface level. Hmmmm. I could fill ten pages right now of thoughts, but I think I will wait until it's not so fresh. I just need to make sure I actually write it. Merry Christmas! Hug someone you love. | | |
| God has spoken. We have too many squirrels on this campus. I just witnessed a massive hawk attack a squirrel on the walkway up to Wells House as I was walking to my office. It was amazing and horrific all at the same time. I immediately grabbed the other TA in my office and had her come out and see the show. The hawk finished the evil deed in the grass by the Wells House front door, and then flew to the top of the PSU with his catch. Happy Thanksgiving, Mr. Hawk. I'm now eating a cranberry nut muffin from Mudhouse in order to help me sort out the events of this morning. | | |
| Watching election results on TV is my anti-drug... that's what it has to be considering I keep watching... and watching... and watching... and they haven't said any new relevant information in about 2 hours. But don't worry... I keep watching. | | |
| You know what I can't stand? Nay-sayers. Maybe this is because I've been compared to an optimistic care bear on crack, but who knows. I've been playing around and looking for internships for next summer. I've been trying to dream big, so I inquired with some top companies/opportunities in the country. One company replied back, and pretty much told me that I have to realize that their selection process is "highly selective" from such institutions as mine. So I went to a state university... woop woop. I can almost guarantee you that my education with this faculty is ten times better than some boozer who's dad got him into Yale becasue of a generous donation to the alumni fund. I can't wait to apply for that internship. Even if I'm not accepted, it's okay because this lady put a fire under my butt now to find something good. Even a care bear can be deadly when cornered... only he shoots rainbows and stars out of his stomach instead of doing something cool like attacking people with its ferocious teeth and claws. Beggers can't be choosey, people. Can you tell I had two hours of sleep last night? | | |
